Channel Wiki: #jarvis-jr-general

Channel ID: 1519022942737010718 Last sync: 2026-09-20 03:16 UTC

Purpose

Historical general-purpose channel for Jarvis conversations and voice-operation questions.

Key Context

  • Earlier discussion covered whether models support STT/TTS and predecessor-bot responsiveness.
  • On 2026-06-30, RootAtSkic instructed the predecessor bot not to join the jarvis-jr-test-001 voice channel unless invited and to leave immediately.
  • Current Hermes activity-based voice behavior may supersede this historical instruction only where explicitly configured and approved; preserve the distinction between predecessor history and current behavior.

Current State

  • Included in wiki monitoring for any renewed general or voice-operation decisions.
  • CONFIRMED (2026-09-07): RootAtSkic directed Hermes to remove large embedded channel-wiki bodies from config.yaml, create one repository-backed skill per configured channel, and replace each channel prompt with a short skill_view directive. Twenty dedicated private skill repositories were created and remotely verified across home-v1-skills-code-agent, vssa-v1-skills-code-agent, corp-v1-dpvp-skills-code-agent, and cognitive-architect-v1-skills-code-agent.
  • discord.channel_prompts now contains 20 directives of 220–262 characters; config.yaml decreased from 395,337 to 22,834 bytes. /opt/data/scripts/channel-wiki-sync.py now preserves this routing idempotently instead of copying wiki bodies back into config.
  • This channel is routed to home-v1-channel-jarvis-jr-general; mutable continuity remains in this wiki. The daily wiki-sync job now preloads the channel and operational skills and verifies the short-directive invariant.
  • CONFIRMED (2026-09-07): All seven AeroSim channel folders exist under /opt/data/corp-v1-aerosim-{general,scope,architecture,ui-ux,kanban,delivery,releases} and their channel skills declare those workspace boundaries. RootAtSkic then directed cleanup of the working directory: 959 top-level AeroSim artifacts were moved from /opt/data and /opt/data/work into the owning channel's workspace/legacy-root/ or workspace/legacy-work/ area without deletion. Audit evidence is in /opt/data/corp-v1-aerosim-general/workspace/working-directory-cleanup-20260907/README.md.
  • CONFIRMED (2026-09-08): hermes-agent, hermes-agent-skill-authoring, and skill-registry-mirroring were published as separate private repositories in home-v1-skills-code-agent. Each main ref, complete package tree, and every remote file were verified byte-for-byte against the clean installed package.
  • Delegation configuration (live readback 2026-09-12): max_concurrent_children: 10 and max_spawn_depth: 1. RootAtSkic asked how to increase worker capacity; no configuration change was requested or made in that message.
  • Open evaluation (2026-09-19): RootAtSkic asked Hermes to investigate Jev (referencing the LangChain article “Building a harness with Jev”), identify practical uses in the Home v1 environment, determine whether it is available or deployable as a TrueNAS app, and assess likely impact. No deployment decision or authorization was made in the request; findings and ownership remain pending.
  • Operator communication preference (2026-09-19): RootAtSkic wants Hermes to retain and use knowledge of his character and principles, and explicitly reported that Hermes is giving him too much material to read. Responses should prioritize concise, decision-oriented summaries and avoid shifting unnecessary reading burden to him.
